"Lewten will stay behind, keep things cool for when we get back, the rest of us will go down and start setting this plan into motion"
...A short discussion of events later...
Bryson held a gun to her chest, poised and ready to shoot if need be. Walking through the derelict mall corridors she followed the strides of the other towards an enterance for the underground car part. Even with what she'd been through previously, both as part of this quaranteened situation and other past events, Sarah could help but feel a bit on edge about what they may meet underground. Civillians would likely have tried to flee from the mall at the time the outbreak hit here and she hightly doubted a lot of them had survived, ready to find what remained of those who could be deemed brave or stupid.
Regardless, the blonde wasnt going to let it seem like it bothered her. In fact, the blood and ripped appart anatomy, though highly disturbing when relating to what had created the mess, didn't give her a weak stomach it was more those infected that were still alive...and how many there were lurking in the shadows.
The party consisting of herself, Kendall, Larsen, Wyler, Hughes and Holtz furthered their expedition to the sign ahead highlighting 'Parking'.

Larsen lead the way of the formation, all the time praying to god that down there wasnt as bad as what the hospital had been like.
Setting a glance toward Kendall who was beside him he nodded to her injured arm, she'd sustained wounds on the way over when there truck had been hit and toppled over.
"How's that shoulder doing?" He asked with a slight smile.

Kendall had her rifle in her right hand, the base sat firmly in her hand the barrel pointed upward into the air. She kept her head straight her green eyes wtaching the area, waiting for anything, anything at all.
They reered nearer to the 'parking' area where the underground was slightly lightened by the dim lights that were positioned on the walls, but it was barely enough light to see eachother let alone any on coming company.
"How's that shoulder doing?" Larsen questioned.
She had almost forgotten about it, being so side tracked and all by events.
Glancing at her shoulder she turned her green eyes toward him. Giving a small smile she nodded "Better..we dont really have time for war wounds" it was true, they'd all either sustained or would be gaining wounds as they went along, unless it was critical it may as well have been shrugged off.
Turning her head forward again she explained the next few steps "Were looking for stable transport, none of this fancy stuff, we need vehicles that are going to be able to sustain a few bumps here and there, trucks are favoured as they can carry large numbers which means we can get everyone around safetly and have room for supplies.." she spoke quietly to the others but loud enough so they could hear.
"We bring the vehicles up to the second floor parking which will give us an easier access and take out any risk of being cornered off down here" That was the last thing they needed, being closed off underground.
This place, it was far to quiet, eerily quiet. Like you knew something was there but had to wait for it to show.

Mikey followed along with the group, serving as the point man in the middle of formation if it were possible. Judging by how they were armed, none of the people here were snipers. And despite what people thought, snipers wernt only trained to get that one perfect shot. He'd seen front line combat, and trained for it. Something as simple as an ACOG scope with x2 magnification turned a normal M16A4 into a long distant killing machine. If only sound supressors werent illegal in California, or if he would have had the foresight to bring one from the base... Alas, he wasnt that lucky.
He listened to the small conversation between Riley and Erin, asking about her injured shoulder. He hadnt noticed her favoring it or showing pain from it, so it must not have been very bad. Either that or she was one tough mother. Probably a bit of both.
He smirked to himself when he thought of a smililer story. Similer in an abstract way in which you had to close one eye and cover the other to see a resemblance, but still. He considered it a funny story, and felt sharing it would break the mood. Being on guard was fine. Being so high strung that you got paranoid and then fearful was bad.
"Shoulders not a bad place to get injured. Ass is..." He said, smirking when he thought of the story, his eye never leaving the scope on the assult rifle as he swept the area, checking any dark corner that could be used by something wanting to hide and blitz them from behind. Deliberately leaving his flashlight off, he let his natural "night vision" guide him, the red lights of the signs not enough to ruin it but enough to light up the places that were a bit too dark for him to see.
"I was doing some wet work in Somalia around Desert Storm. Taking out this guy, Col. Moalim. Average warlord causing more problems than he was worth for the Rangers. I snuck over the boarder of the country and to his palace on foot over the course of a month, got my spot set up, and took my shot. He was taken care of, and you know how they say when you take out the leader everyone else runs around with a chicken with their head cut off? Not true. Someone worked out the trajectory in a hurry and started shooting, then directed a mortor to my position. I high tailed it, but not before someone got a lucky shot at a water heater. Blew up like nothing and shot a two inch peice of shrapenal in my ass.
He ended the story there, figuring it had gone on long enough. The only thing he hated about that story was that it didnt have anything macho or cool about it. He ended up getting ''shot'' by a damn water heater...
He heard Erin tell them that they were looking for a truck of some kind, and figured it was a good idea. A van would be good too, but it didnt have the off road capabilities that a truck did. And they'd probably be deviating from a set road quite a bit. A semi, on the other hand... Ya, those would be nice. Probably wouldnt find one, but you never knew. Maybe a few deliveries had been interupted by zombies.

Wyler couldnt help but laugh at Hughs tale.
He himself knew what it was like to take a wound in the ass and it wasnt nice at all. Though Wyler had actually been shot in the ass cheek whilst in battle, the wound sucked but the treatment he got he could hardly complain, bed rest and beautiful nurse at your aid hardly something to whine about.
"I feel your pain" he commented "Ive got a bullet still lodged in my ass" Wyler informed looking somewhat annoyed at the thought, he hated 'souviners'.
"If you ask me its far to quiet down here for something NOT to be lurking, maybe we should split up?" He suggested looking to Erin.

Travis kept his mouth closed, he'd been lucky to have managed to aid Larsen and by doing so had won his way out of being a prisoner, he wasnt about to lose his chance now and prefered being part of the illicit team.
Holding a handgun tightly in his right hand he let his arm hang at his side as he walked along side the others.
Keeping his eyes peeled Holtz watched every corner, he didnt wish to be accompanied by those mothers as it was.

Erin laughed slightly at both of there tails, she herself hadnt sustained such injuries in battle, thank god.
"Ill bare that in mind" she smiled slightly when Hughs informed her that the ass wounds were far worse.
Her eyes turned to Wyler who suggested splitting up.
"It may be the quickest form of getting around here but its risky Wyler, were not sure what is actually down here..splitting up could be the worse thing for us, we stick together until we know if its clear.." she instructed.
