Jonathan was a happy person when he was 7. But the next year fon his next birthday (cause they like to plan ahead) birthday; his parents were heading home after getting him a present for his birthday his parents got attacked by some zombies and the doctors told him the news about them dieingand he was feel with grief knowing that he became an orthan. Ever since that day, he had to live off the land, fight to survive, and take care of himself which made him upset.
Three years later, Jonathan went out into the woods to hunt and ecountered his first zombie when he saw another family getting terrorized by the zombie. He noticed what the zombie was doing and he got out his shotgun that his grandfather gaave him and shot it in the head. The family thanked him and they told him where the zombie came from. Once the woman (who was bitten) asked him to shoot her in the head he got confused and asked why, so she he asked why he should kill her when she can recover from it. After that the wife told him that zombies can turn the living into one of them which made him dropped the shotgun cause of how surprised he was to hear what she said. After their conversation, the woman grabbed the shotgun and scuicided so that the rest of the family and he wouldn't be in danger. The family thanked him for saving them but Jonathan told them that he will avengeher for them but they insisted that he didnt but he ignored him and went back home reloading his shotgun.
When he got back home, he noticed that there were two blood trails in his house when he opened the door. He walked yelling "Show yourself coward!" He noticed two shadows rushing twords him in the house. So he got out his shotgun and saw a zombie and his zombie dog (so its dead now); he shot the zombie and tears went down his face when his dead dog. He swore vengence for his family and his pet and rushed twords the city that he was told where the first zombie he saw was from.
When he got to the city limits, Jonathan met some guys outside the city. Some of them were trying to warn him of the zombies but he told them that he had something urgent to do. He also said that the reason was personal to him. The people kept trying to persuade him not to go in but after the fith time they tried to persuade him not to enter the city, Jonathan pulled out the shotgun (and his truck is full of the ammo that he has) and said "I'm going in there and i;m coming out with the back of this truck full of zombie heads, whether you like it or not". Then he drove into the city and the people that tryed to stop him started on making bets on how long he would survive, one of them even betted that he would succeed. The thing was, those people were some survivors that escaped at the first zombie in Bakersfield, which is where he was heading.
